Pokemon coloring pages cover pretty much every generation at this point — Pikachu, Charizard, all the classics, plus a bunch of newer ones too. Coloring's a decent excuse to get kids off a screen for a while. It also happens to help with focus and hand-eye coordination, even if that's not why anyone's actually doing it.

There's a good range of difficulty here.

Simple ones for younger kids just starting out, more detailed ones for older kids who want more of a challenge. Works fine for a classroom activity, a rainy weekend, or something to bring on a road trip.

Doesn't matter if the colors match the games or shows exactly — half the fun is kids picking whatever colors they want. Print one out and see which Pokemon they go for first.

6 Craft Ideas to Do With Pokemon Coloring Pages

Once a page's colored in, here's a few things worth doing with it.

Trainer Cards: Color a Pokemon, cut it down to card size, write the name and type on the back. My kid's got a whole shoebox of these now, it's basically its own game at this point.

Homemade Board Game: Draw a simple path on a big sheet of paper, stick colored Pokemon along it. Grab some dice and you've got a game night that cost nothing.

Window Art: Tape a few finished pages to a window. Sun comes through and it actually looks pretty good, way better than it sounds.

Party Invites: Glue a colored Pokemon onto the front of a card for a birthday invite. Kids get way more excited opening these than a store-bought one.

Bookmarks: Cut a few pages into strips, one Pokemon per bookmark. Good way to get a reluctant reader actually excited to pick a book back up.

Wall Border: Cut pages into strips and line them along a wall or bulletin board. Cheap way to make a kid's room or classroom look less bare.
